However, with Jurgen Klopp looking to lose Emre Can to similar circumstances in the summer, a move for the former Everton man is now gathering some traction.
Despite being a relatively important player under Mourinho during his first season in charge, the introduction Nemanja Matic (and the breakthrough of Scott McTominay) have left Fellaini holding a very peripheral role in the squad.
