Marouane Fellaini The Subject Of Monstrous 'Concrete Offer' From China

Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini has largely been a disaster since his arrival from Everton on deadline day in the 2013 summer transfer window.

While he unquestionably has merit as a footballer and has put in some match-winning performances for United, those occasions could be counted on one hand and far more often than not Fellaini's cumbersome midfield play and inability to win a header despite being a foot taller than everyone around him have driven the Old Trafford faithful mad.

It went too far when he was booed by his own supporters a week after costing United a win away to Everton with a typically idiotic challenge, but big 'Felli' has never been on good terms with the fans as he just doesn't fit, and is essentially the face of Manchester United's post-Fergie slump in form.

However, those fans who no longer wish to see Fellaini in a red shirt will be delighted to hear that the Belgian has received a gigantic offer to go and play his football in China, a very, very long way away from the home team's penalty area at Old Trafford.

According to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, five Belgians have been offered moves to play in China and earn more than their compatriot Axel Witsel, who agreed to a £300,000 per week deal at Tianjin Quanjian this month.

The paper is claiming that Romelu Lukaku (23, Everton), Christian Benteke (26, Crystal Palace), Dries Mertens (29, Napoli), Mousa Dembélé (29, Tottenham) and Marouane Fellaini (29, Manchester United) have all been informed of concrete offers from Chinese clubs, and as of yet only Lukaku is said to have rejected the approach outright.

While many Man Utd fans will be very happy to hear of this news, there has been no indication that the player wants to leave, and if the comments made by Jose Mourinho in public are true, then the Portuguese is a fan of Fellaini and would attempt to convince him to stay.

The idea that he could earn over £15m per year may seem difficult to believe, but the offer is reportedly in, so now it's seemingly up to Fellaini regarding whether or not he cashes in or fights for playing time at Manchester United.
