The BBC have decided to reduce Mark Lawrenson's role on Match of the Day. An announcement by the BBC did not include Lawro in the MOTD lineup for the coming season, leading to speculation that he had been dropped.
That may have been wishful thinking, however, as a spokeperson told the Telegraph that he would still appear on the show, just less often.
Lawro is something of a love him or hate him figure, and he'll rarely feature in lists of best pundits, but here are some of his more memorable moments.
Terrible jokes
Watch his face drop as he realises he's laughing alone
The time he lost to Hulk Hogan at predicting the weekend games
...despite Hogan predicting Chelsea to beat Wigan 40-1.
Letting one rip on Match of the Day
Diving foreigners
Always quick to tell members of opposition teams to 'get up', Lawro is curiously quiet when a player on an English team does it. Here he is on Ribery.
'Spat' with Guy Mowbray
A few uncomfortable exchanges from the 2010 World Cup.
