It started with an appearance on 'Pointless' - a special FA Cup edition of the gameshow, no doubt recorded well in advance of Saturday.
On Pointless, Mark Lawrenson was required to name an obscure country starting with the letter A. Lawro's geography knowledge was left wanting.
Alaska was his answer. The tone of Alexander Armstrong's voice says it all.

That was followed later on in the day with another appearance on the BBC. This time on Match of the Day for their FA Cup highlights.
Speaking about Everton, and the players they have returning from injury, Lawrenson's tongue got in an almighty twist when referencing Steven Pienaar.
Gabby Logan didn't quite manage to maintain her composure.
