As expected Stoke City have announced that Mark Hughes has been appointed as their new manager. The club statement read: "The club will be holding a press conference (at 11 am) to unveil Mark Hughes as their new manager. "

Hughes' arrival has not exactly been greeted with widespread approval from Stoke fans and the former QPR manager has apparently been given the difficult task of changing Stoke's style of football while also cutting costs.
