Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola is a bullish sort of bloke. After observing his struggling employee/mixed up huff and puff his through five and a bit horrid months at Anfield, he has decided that his employee is worth more now than when he started there.
He has increased his value to between £60-£70 million pounds.
And he wont countenance Mario going for anything less than this. How much will he not countenance Mario going for less than this? Well, listen to just how much he will not countenance Mario going for anything less than this.
I saw him on Monday and told him: 'You have a four-year contract and I will not send you away.
Or you leave Liverpool at 60-70 million (euros) or you will die there. This is my bet.'
He may well have been speaking metaphorically but he sounds fairly determined that Mario Balotelli will not leave Liverpool even for the fairly steep price of £59 million.
We suspect that he may not collect winnings on this bet.
