The German national side are either totally disorganised, or horribly committed to pissing off Marco Reus. The Dortmund player has enjoyed an excellent season, with 20 goals in 42 games. Despite this, Germany have dropped Reus from their European Championship squad. Reus missed the 2014 World Cup through injury, and now he has failed to make Germany's final squad for France:

It is indicative of Germany's strength in depth that they are unwilling to wait for Reus to prove his fitness ahead of the tournament.

The bad news for Reus was likely exacerbated by the fact that just ten minutes before Germany confirmed the squad, the German association wished him a happy birthday via their official twitter account:
