Try to imagine uncompromisingly pro-copper narrator Lee Boardman when reading this story. Germany and Borussia Dortmund footballer Marco Reus has been taken off the road.

He was stopped by police recently for speeding on the road. It then turned out that this same guy had been stopped by police for speeding at least five times since 2011.

It has emerged that he was driving without a licence since 2011.

Reus was apologetic when asked about the incident later on.

I decided back then to take that road but the reasons I did it are something I cannot really understand today. Today I know that I was too naive and that it was stupid. I have learned my lesson and this will not happen again.

Dortmund's prosecutor's said the combined fine was €540,000. Hefty.
