In the realm of the guaranteed spectacle, few come with as little fine print as Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United. The Argentine coach is one of the game's great ideologues, and his high-intensity methods have been an inspiration for a host of successful managers including Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Jorge Sampaioli.
Bielsa himself, however, hasn't enjoyed as much success. Some put this down to his irascible temperament. At Athletic Bilbao, for example, having eviscerated Manchester United en route to the Europa League final, he promptly lost the dressing room for the following season after ranting and raving at his players for losing the final to Atletico Madrid.
Incredibly, he is now coming to England for the first time in his career, and isn't just joining any old dysfunctional club: he's joining noted laureates of farce, LEEDS.
With Bielsa one of the two main cultural ideologues hailing from Argentina, Leeds announced his arrival by echoing the appointment process for the other:

Bielsa has signed a two-year contract at Elland Road, and told the club's website of his delight at joining:
I am delighted to accept the role of head coach at Leeds United.
It has always been my ambition to work in England and I have had several opportunities to do so during my career, however I have always felt it was important to wait for the right project to come along and so when a club with Leeds United’s history made me an offer, it was impossible to turn down.
I am excited for the challenge ahead and I look forward to collaborating with Victor, Andrea and Angus, as we work hard to achieve great things at this football club.
The club/manager match best suited to putting the fun in dysfunction.
