Maradona has voiced his support for Luis Suarez in the face of a 4 month ban that has polarised opinion the world over. There are many that believe that Suarez' ban was not sufficient for a culprit who has offended twice before.
Contrastingly, many believe that Suarez has become the focus for a media 'witch hunt', and that in the larger scheme of things, a bite isn't as bad as a broken leg, nose or career ending foul. Maradona seems to preside over this opinion.
The Argentinian icon appeared on the De Zurda TV show, broadcast from Rio, wearing a t-shirt with a message on it which read "Luisito Estamos Con Vos", which translates as "Luis we are with you".
Why? Who is killed? This is football, this is friction
Why not send him to Guantanamo?
FIFA caught some shrapnel in Maradona's scathing attack. He accused Sep Blatter and FIFA of crucifying Suarez.
Richie Sadlier and Eamon Dunphy and Northern Ireland manager Michael O Neill actually made quite a bit of sense in dealing with the issue.
