Man Utd confirmed the signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger on a three-year deal today.
Reports that the World Cup winner could be headed for Old Trafford first emerged last week. It was a possibility which many fans of the club found improbable, with some tweeting that they would not believe it until there was photographic evidence.
With the player's signature on a contract acquired and also the requisite photographic evidence of the 30-year-old in a Man Utd shirt, the club Twitter account set about responding to those who doubted he would be playing Premier League football next season.
