On an absurdly busy Saturday, Manchester United leapfrogged Liverpool (even if it's only for a couple of hours) in the Premier League table with a 2-0 win at home to Watford.
The goals came from players who have not enjoyed a wholly fruitful relationship with Jose Mourinho throughout their careers: Juan Mata, and Anthony Martial. Mata has been reliable for Mourinho at United since the latter booted him out of Chelsea, but Martial's troubles with Mourinho are very much a current issue.
Martial earned a rare Premier League start this afternoon, and, having assisted the opening goal for Mata, he scored one of his own in the second-half, cutting in on his right foot to rifle in at the near post.
The result continues United's resurgence in the second-half of the season, as this marks their sixteenth consecutive unbeaten game (nine of which were wins), their longest run since Ferguson's retirement.
They also hit a pretty remarkable record, that has more to do with Ferguson that anyone else:
2000 - @ManUtd are the first team to win 2000 points in the @premierleague. Landmark.

Across all of those games in which they've garnered 2,000 points, this might be the worst banner to adorn the stands. Even the 'Ta-Ra Fergie' one.
