Manchester United suffered their fourth home defeat of the season as they lost 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford for the second season running.
The Red Devils came out of the blocks stuttering and they were punished by a set piece once again as Dean Huijsen got the better of Joshua Zirkzee to head the Cherries into the lead on the half hour mark.
That goal seemed to wake United up and they created a couple of chances of their own before halftime with Bruno Fernandes having his shot saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga before Huijsen nearly headed the ball into his own net from an Amad Diallo corner.
Any positive work United had built up was undone on the hour mark as Bournemouth were awarded a penalty for Noussair Mazraoui's tackle on Justin Kluivert. Kluivert dispatched it from the spot to double Bournemouth's lead. Then Antoine Semenyo scored the Cherries' third just over 2 minutes later as Bournemouth held on for another 3-0 win at Old Trafford after winning by the same scoreline when they visited the Theatre of Dreams last season.
Old Trafford In Shambles As Ceiling Leaks During Ruben Amorim Presser
United sit in 13th in the Premier League table and it will be the first time in the Premier League era that The Red Devils will wake up Christmas Day in the bottom half. Speaking in his post-match interview with Sky Sports, Manchester United Head Coach Ruben Amorim spoke about how his side suffered from nerves in Sunday's performance.
It's hard to push for 2 or 3 wins. We are trying. But this game was hard on us. We suffer again at set pieces and we were a little bit nervous in the beginning I felt.
At this moment everything is very hard on us, at set pieces, then the penalty, then we want to score but are too nervous and we want it too quickly. We have to fight this.

In what was another example of a sign of the chaos at Old Trafford, Samuel Luckhurst of Manchester Evening News posted a video of what appears to be the ceiling leaking in the middle of Ruben Amorim's press conference.

While no one expected Amorim to turn things around immediately, but the longer he's been at Old Trafford the greater the task has become. Everything about Manchester United needs to be rebuild, on and off the pitch.
