Manchester United have yet to strike their first deal of the transfer window, although it seems as though the club are active in their efforts to strengthen the squad.
It is likely that they look to improve in a number of positions this summer, with Mason Mount said to keen on a move to Old Trafford. Chelsea have rejected a couple of bids for the England international, although personal terms as thought to be agreed with the player.
Goalkeeper, centre back, and striker are the other positions that could be looked at. David de Gea's contract is up this summer and has yet to be renewed, while Erik ten Hag is also reportedly keen to find a long-term partner for Lisandro Martinez.
As for potential strikers, Harry Kane was said to be their main target. However, Spurs are notoriously difficult to negotiate and Manchester United are also considering other targets.
Manchester United 'serious' in pursuit of €100million striker
L'Equipe are reporting that Manchester United are 'serious' in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The 24-year old only joined the Bundesliga club in 2022, signing on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract at Nantes. However, it is reported that the bidding will start €100million for his services this summer.
The Frenchman registered 23 goals and 17 assists for the club in all competitions last season, attracting the attentions of some of Europe's biggest clubs as a result. Along with United, Bayern Munich are thought to be the other side with the biggest chance of landing him in the months ahead.
Kolo Muani made his debut for France last September, going on to be part of their squad at the World Cup in Qatar. It is said that Eintracht Frankfurt with look for €60-70million up front, with a further €30-40million in add-ons.
In saying that, it is said that Manchester United's interest could depend on the ownership situation of the club. The Glazer family are unlikely to sanction many major transfer deals until that issue has more certainty.
It will be interesting to see how this situation develops in the weeks ahead.
