According to Football Italia, reports in the Italian media suggest Manchester United are in talks with AC Milan to play a number of friendly games around the world this season.

With neither side qualifying for European competition this season, the reports claim the sides could play up to eight games this season, with trips to Asia and America being mooted as possibilities.

This isn't the first time these friendlies have been suggested, as The Guardian reported on this in February, and in April  The Telegraph reported that United were seeking permission from The FA for a series of friendlies.

What do Manchester United fans think of these games? Is supplementing the lack of Champions League money with friendlies in America and Asia worth it? Is it an unnecessary distraction from their league campaign?
