Manchester United look to have yet another top talent on their hands as 18-year-old Alejandro Garnacho stole the show against Aston Villa.

As the sides met for the second time in the space of five days, Aston Villa and Unai Emery were looking for their second win over Manchester United this week.

They looked well on course to achieving that in the second half, as goals from Ollie Watkins and a Diego Dalot own goal put them 2-1 in front with less than 30 minutes remaing, with Manchester United’s goal coming through Antony Martial.

However, up stepped Garnacho, who completely changed the game when he came on. The tricky Argentinian winger has been talked up as a player to watch after a strong pre-season, and he has shown why with recent performances.

After Marcus Rashford’s equaliser, his first of two assists came as he set up Bruno Fernandes to put Manchester United 3-2 in front. Garnacho then sealed the victory with a  brilliant ball to Scott McTominay to seal victory.

It doesn’t feel like a true season without a young talent emerging from Manchester United, and Alejandro Garnacho looks to be the next in line, with fans hugely excited over his potential.

The winger has pace to burn while also having an high for goal, as he proved with a powerful finish against Real Sociedad in Manchester United’s 1-0 victory in the Europa League.

The Argentinian has been called up to the national side before, but is yet to be capped. While the world cup will come too soon, it may be of interest to give him his debut at international level, as he’s also able to represent Spain, having played for their underage sides.

While Manchester United may have Antony Elanga, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony as wingers, Erik Ten Hag has shown he rewards good form and potential, and we are likely to see more of the promising winger if he keeps up these level of performances.
