On Monday evening Manchester United announced the signing of a promising youngster who started out in the Arsenal academy before moving to Fulham.
United have managed to steal the player away from Craven Cottage after the club's coaches were impressed with his start to the U18 league season, but the thing that stood out to us immediately was his name..
Darren Raekwon McIntosh-Buffonge
Sensational.
Or 'DJ Buffonge' for short, which is also seriously cool.
Darren Raekwon is the latest young English talent to emerge with a very enjoyable name to say, following in the footsteps of the likes of Rueben Loftus-Cheek at Chelsea, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles at Arsenal, but we think you'll agree that DJ Buffonge is a cut above the rest.
Raekwon, of course, is one of the more talented lyricists to come out of the Wu-Tang Clan, and we're guessing that part of Buffonge's name is an homage to the revered New York MC.
We sincerely hope that he breaks into the first team, purely because 'BUFFFOOOOOOOONGE!!" is something we would love to hear commentators shout out as he attempts a volley from long range.
