Former Manchester United defender, Laurent Blanc, is reported to be the "front-runner" to temporarily replace Jose Mourinho as manager of the club.
Man Utd this morning announced that Mourinho has left Old Trafford, adding that a caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the season.
That appointment expected to be made within the next 48 hours. United play Cardiff in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Daily Mail reports that Blanc is the leading candidate to take temporary charge of the club.
Bit more on caretaker manager at United. Will be someone 'steeped in the traditions of the club'. Not Carrick, Butt, Neville G or P. Currently tying up loose ends with other interests which are not expected to present any issues. Announcement expected before weekend. #mufc
