Fans of Chelsea and Manchester United are outraged as the date of their huge clashed changed just 15 days before the fixture.
Originally scheduled for Sunday the 23rd of October, Chelsea’s involvement in the Champions League that following Tuesday has seen the game moved back to a 5.30pm kick off on the Saturday.
While this move will give players more time to rest and prepare for the next game, this late change is less than ideal for fans just 15 days before the game is too take place, especially one of this magnitude.
The scheduling of Premier League games close to Champions League ties had been a problem in previous seasons, with managers such as Jurgen Klopp making his concerns clear on the issue.
The Premier League has made decisions to combat this long standing issue this season, with Manchester United’s visit to Everton moved to a 7.00 kick-off on Sunday, originally scheduled for 12.30 on Saturday.

Fan Issues
While players and managers may be happy with the decision to move games, this has caused issues for fans.
Earlier this week, Chelsea Supporters Trust issued a statement on the fixture, calling out the Premier League for prioritising broadcasters concerns over the fans.

“The PL and broadcasters are delaying an announcement due to a dispute over TV slots. Supporters need to book travel, accommodation and annual leave. This highly anticipated game fixture is slowly becoming a nightmare for many.
Our message to the broadcasters and Premier League is clear-#sortitout.”
The changes in kick-off has already been disruptive to Manchester United fans, as reports have emerged that the Met policing concerns lead to 624 tickets being cut for the game, with the Met Police initially only wanting 1,500 Manchester United fans at the game.
Manchester United originally had an allocation of 2,994 tickets sold for the game. As a result, Manchester United Supporters Trust have now confirmed they are now considering taking legal action against the Met Police.
2/ We are now considering legal action against @metpoliceuk on behalf of our fans affected by this decision to reduce our allocation after tickets have been sold to fans in good faith, many of whom will have booked travel.
