Manchester City look to have won the race to sign Shamrock Rovers' 16-year-old goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, with the youngster reported to have signed a pre-contract with the Premier League champions.
According to the Irish Daily Star, Shamrock Rovers will receive an initial fee of €350,000 for Bazunu who only made his debut earlier this year. He immediately thrived in the League of Ireland, keeping four clean sheets in-a-row including a penalty stop against defending champions Cork City.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly sent goalkeeping coach John Achterberg to watch Bazunu against Derry City in June while Celtic and Arsenal were also interested. Last week it was reported that Rovers rejected a €200,000 offer from Premier League club Spurs.
Veteran goalkeeper Alan Mannus recently resigned for Shamrock Rovers ensuring they are well prepared for the loss.
