Manchester United vs Bayer Leverkusen

Man Utd are 8/11 for the win with Bayer 4/1 and the draw is 11/4.

It's another major test for David Moyes are he takes his first steps into Champions League group stage management as Man Utd take on German side Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford tonight. The Leverkusen coach is a familiar face who is making his management debut in the competition, that's former Liverpool centre back, Samii Hyppia.

Moyes only previous experience of the Champions League came when Everton were knocked out by Villareal in the 2005 qualifiers.

Utd have stuttered in their opening games in the league, winning two, drawing against Chelsea and losing to Liverpool. In contrast, Leverkusen have had an excellent opening to their Bundesliga season winning four of their five games so far this season to sit third in the German league.

Rafael and Phil Jones are both doubts for the game with Lars Bender hoping to be fit for the German side.

In the Champions League last season the Utd defence was leaky, only keeping a clean sheet in their opening game of the group stage at home to Galatasaray.

With David Moyes being a novice in the Champions League and the fairly shaky start they've had to the league season, the new manager is likely to start a strong side. They've got another tough league fixture this weekend against Man City but that doesn't come until Sunday afternoon.
