David De Gea leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid appears inevitable. It's just about whether it happens this summer or next year when he is out of contract.
Sid Lowe of the Guardian has reported a little twist in the saga today.
The Premier League side have apparently told Madrid that if they want De Gea, then Sergio Ramos will have to go the other way.
Ramos has a buyout clause of €180 million and a contract which runs for a further two years but Man Utd believe they could sign the central defender for a lot less than that extortionate fee.
Interestingly, Spanish paper AS also report today that Ramos wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer as he is angry that the club did not officially deny claims by Barcelona presidential candidate Jordi Majo that he had been offered the 128-cap Spanish international.
