Italian newspaper La Gazetta dello Sport is reporting that Man Utd have agreed a deal with Argentinian goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
The 28-year-old will arrive on a free transfer after leaving Serie A club Sampdoria earlier in the summer.
Gazetta say that Romero has agreed a three-year contract at Old Trafford.
The signing of the Argentine international will all but close the door on Victor Valdes' time with Man Utd.
Louis van Gaal said last week that the Spanish keeper would be departing the club as 'he does not fit our philosophy'.
Romero was ever present for Argentina in their run to the Copa America final earlier this month.
