Just days after winning the Europa League and securing Champions League football for next season, Jose Mourinho is close to landing his first major signing of the summer.
According to reports in Italy, Man Utd are closing in on the acquisition of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. The player is said to have already agreed contract terms with the fee still to be settled.
The number was initially reported to be around £39 million. However, further reports suggest that Inter Milan are now demanding around £48 million.

Jose Mourinho has apparently been key in persuading Perisic to join Man Utd rather than Paris Saint-Germain, reportedly meeting the play face-to-face in Zagreb during the March international window.
The 28-year-old was signed by the Serie A side two years ago from Wolfsburg. He is now apparently being sold to balance the books at the San Siro and also possibly finance the signing of Colombian forward James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

If the deal does go through, it will reportedly be a four-year contract for Perisic.
