Thursday night brought about Manchester United's player of the year awards do, and while some Man Utd fans might enjoy seeing what goes on, we can't get over the fact that nothing will ever top a slightly pissed Louis Van Gaal's speech at the same event two years ago.

But the show must go on with or without LVG, as the players who have performed well during Jose Mourinho's first season in charge are to be honoured in an event broadcast on MUTV.
The main award itself is believed to be between Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Valencia, and Ander Herrera who have been the most consistent performances in a painfully inconsistent season, but it's clear that the big Swede is the favourite.
Rachel Riley, however, wants to see Ander Herrera win it, and the way in which she spoke about the Spaniard before hosting the event has left a good impression on United fans everywhere.

He most certainly does want it, no denying that.
United fans were quick to praise her for her selection.
@ManUtd @RachelRileyRR you can tell she actually watches united and not just stats, both two she picked are the most deserving
