Praise does not come much higher for a striker than what young star Marcus Rashford has received today.
Having burst onto the Premier League scene in spectacular fashion, Rashford has given Manchester United fans genuine hope that they have a star on their hands as the young Englishman has made leading the line for one of the World's biggest clubs look a breeze, something that many big stars have failed to do in the past (and the present, to be fair).
That hope, or hype as it may be construed, is fully justified according to Brazilian legend Ronaldo, who told The Sun that he has seen Marcus Rashford play, and he likes what he sees as the United man's traits remind him of his own.
He's a very good young player.
I see some of myself in him for sure, he has courage and he's fast and is very good with the ball.
I think for the strikers they have to be hungry to score and I see that with him. He has an amazing future.
High praise.
Aside from anything else, that must be extremely cool for Marcus Rashford and would probably be the cherry on top of a surreal few months since being handed his debut in February, if he wasn't likely to start in the upcoming FA Cup Final.
Having already achieved much, much more than the first player he drew comparisons to, Federico Macheda, Rashford will almost surely never live up to the latest, but the nod from one of the game's greats is a sign that things are going extremely well so far.
