Manchester United have released a statement after videos were circulated online that alleged the Spanish midfielder spit on the Manchester City crest during the Manchester Derby last weekend.
Television camera captured the incident at half-time as the players were leaving the field. According to the BBC, City officials felt it was deliberate and are considering a complaint to the FA.

However, a United spokesperson has denied it was deliberate.
Ander has seen footage of the incident and is mortified at any suggestion his actions were deliberate. It was entirely accidental and there was no intent whatsoever.
United went on to secure a dramatic comeback from 2-0 to 3-2 in the second half and deny City the opportunity to secure the Premier League trophy against their rivals.
