Apparently, it seems as if one-time Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo is all but set to join Manchester City.
As you can imagine, the reaction to it from the red side of Manchester is not the most welcoming, to put it bluntly.
Whether they like it or not, the deals looks close.
Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes confirmed news of this potential deal at 2pm on Thursday afternoon, sending United fans into a state of severe panic.
Maybe, that is putting it lightly, however...
Ronaldo e Manchester City. Done deal ✔️

During his previous spell in Manchester, Ronaldo was part of a United side that would have rarely considered City 'rivals'.
But times have changed an awful lot since then. The Red Devils have descended into a barren spell, while their rivals from the blue half are on the crest of a wave that shows little sign of abating.
Even as City continued their rise from relatively nothing with their newly found cash, the multiple Champions League winner was not for being swayed.

"You think that money is going to change my mind at 30 years old?," he said.
"If you want to speak about the money, I would go to Qatar and make more money [than at City].
"But it's not about the money, it's about the passion."
Manchester United Fans React To Cristiano Ronaldo's Reported Move To Manchester City
But that seems to have changed quote considerably in recent days, at least.
According to the Independent, Ronaldo has already spoken to Pep Guardiola about his role in the team, and it is understood personal terms have been agreed in principle.
Ronaldo will also be paid over £250,000 a week should the deal be completed.
Despite the fact that United have shown little endeavour to re-sign Ronaldo, their supporters are not the most pleased with how this has transpired.
So, so pathetic from Ronaldo. 36-years-old, a career only one player in existence can compete with, one of the richest athletes ever and you’re going to ruin a legacy you created at a club that helped make the player you became, for what?

Never forget this, @Cristiano.

Solid response. If Ronaldo moves to City hope no love is shown to him by our fans, he snakes us IF he joins City.

Messi leaving Barca for PSG was sad enough. If Ronaldo goes to City football truly has lost it's soul to money. I'll be gutted. And ultimately I blame the Glazer's. Twice he'd have come back & they ignored him to pay themselves more dividends

If only he actually ends up at Manchester City. Now that, would be quite something.
