They say that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also bring out the worst in people. First there was uproar in America over Starbucks bringing out their traditional holiday cups. The cups are red - people are upset. It's ludicrous.
But it appears that Americans aren't the only people that don't like the colour red. An ASDA in Manchester has been forced to change the colour of their Santa after complaints from Man City fans.
This is Santa Claus the Christmas icon. The Christmas icon that has absolutely nothing to do with football, sport or Manchester United, Man United, or any iteration of the red club in Manchester. Santa has been red since the 1930's because of the Coca Cola company - and there have been no associations with sporting allegiances for 80 years since.
