City/Monaco was one of the great games of football, and it almost had everything: all that it was missing was a massive brawl and a goal from a free-kick.
That said, along with the eight goals and the absurdly free-flowing nature of the whole enterprise, the game did give us one underrated moment of magic: a pitch invader that dodged the flailing tackles of a few stewards to recreate John Stones' knee-slide celebration.

Magic.
But there's an even better post-script. The pitch invader encroached after the game, and he was captured in the background of BT's coverage. Kevin De Bruyne loved it!

Great stuff.
What a damn game, and we would like to congratulate everyone who watched it. If you didn't...we're sorry.
