Manchester Evening News are a primary source of news for a lot of City and United fans, as the publication's writers have good access to their local clubs and report on things that the often go overlooked by national papers, but something extremely strange popped up over the weekend regarding the outgoing City manager.
Manchester United winger Memphis Depay recently called out the media for publishing photos of him going shopping, but they are nothing compared to an article about Manuel Pellegrini shopping at Tesco.
Honestly, it's just pictures of Pellegrini shopping at Tesco.

At least the headline doesn't try and paint it up as something else, but for those who were curious as to what the hell this was about..
The Chilean manager grabbed a selection of foods and drinks around 7pm at the Express shop in Hale.
He stuck to the basics - and just loaded his basket with milk, orange juice and cheese.
Simply stunning.
Yes, it was part of the 'Celebs' section, and people looking at pictures of famous people doing mundane tasks is a multi-million euro industry, but Manuel Pellegrini? Why?
There's so many questions. Many of which were asked by City fans on twitter:
@CelebManchester @MENnewsdesk I shopped in Co-op yesterday, can someone write a story on that please?

The fact that people are photographing Pellegrini in Tesco is actually just weird

We may get questioned for drawing attention to it ourselves, but come on, never have we seen something like this. It would be different if Pellegrini was in the news for something maybe, but this is literally a man buying cheese. It's hilarious.
