Manchester City took the lead early on in their Champions League tie against CSKA Moscow after Zoran Tosic brought down David Silva in the box in just the third minute.
Sergio Aguero stepped up and placed the ball into the top corner - the sixth consecutive game in which he has scored.
City doubled their lead after 20 minutes, with Aguero turning smartly before slotting home.
Aguero was again heavily involved in the third goal, providing the cross which Alvaro Negredo tapped in.
CSKA pulled one back before half-time through Seydou Doumbia, who rounded Costel Pantilimon after being put through by Sweden's Pontus Wernbloom.
Negredo again had an easy finish after a great pass over the defence by Yaya Toure to Samir Nasri.
Gael Clichy brought Doumbia down midway through the second half and the Ivorian dusted himself down to score the penalty.

And Negredo completed a hat-trick of easy finishes as he nodded in an Edin Dzeko cross with the last act of the game, as Manchester City booked their place in the last 16.
