Cork City secured a dramatic victory last night, defeating Bohemians on a 2-1 scoreline in their League of Ireland Premier Division clash at Turner's Cross.
The result was the latest blow for Bohs' title challenge, while the home side overtook Drogheda United to move into eighth place in the table. While this game had big consequences at both ends of the league, it was the scenes that unfolded in the closing stages that has dominated the post-match discussion.
Cork City led 1-0 with five minutes to play, although there was to be a couple of dramatic moments in store.
The first of them came when Bohemians equalised in the 87th minute. It initially looked as though the Dublin club were about to be awarded a penalty, only for Adam McDonnell to then score with a tidy finish from close range.
Queue pandemonium in the away end, with a number of Bohs fans attempting to get up close and personal with the home supporters in celebration, while others ended up on the pitch.
However, Cork City had the last laugh.
After tip-off, they would go straight up the other end of the pitch to score via Daniel Krezic, who finished brilliantly to spark some wild celebrations among the home fans.

Some of the Bohemians fans down the other end would hardly have had time to return to their seats. They way their team rushed the ball back to the centre circle only to concede seconds later was hilarious.
Quite a few people got plenty of enjoyment out of this particular passage of play.
Bohs fans on the pitch, running at the home end, and players running back with the ball for a quick restart. Within 20 seconds City score to make it 2-1, while some Bohs fans are celebrating their equaliser. One of the funniest things I've ever seen at a game.

It’s this guy i feel sorry for… He missed City’s savage winner because he was celebrating Bohs’ equaliser in front of children https://t.co/ZlIFn40wok pic.twitter.com/g7Q9ooFoSj

Fairplay to Bohs and their fans for providing one of the funniest moments I've ever seen at The Cross.

This result continued an impressive run for Cork City, who have now won four games on the spin. They will now be looking to pull away from relegation trouble in the weeks ahead, having moved out of relegation play-off spots with this victory.
As for Bohemians, they have now won just one of their last six league fixtures and have slipped to fourth position in the table. With games against Derry City and Shamrock Rovers to come over the next couple of weeks, they are in danger of losing pace in the title race unless they can arrest their recent slide soon.
