Lukas Podolski May Have Burned His Bridges With Arsene Wenger

Despite never really being a regular starter at Arsenal, there was a perception that Lukas Podolski enjoyed himself at the club. No one can be that prolific with hashtags and not be having a good time.

The German departed north London for Italy on loan earlier this week. If he does return to sit on the Emirates bench once more, there is likely to be some tension between him and Arsene Wenger.

In an interview with The Sun, Podolski accused the Arsenal manager of showing him a lack of respect.

He said nothing to me. He did not call me or say goodbye.

I don't need flowers or a kiss from him but it is about respect, about saying goodbye. For me respect is important.

I did everything for the club I possibly could have. I don't believe I did anything wrong. I did not get drunk in a club.

Who will now fill the gaping selfie chasm at Arsenal?
