He's some bollox.
There's really nobody like Luis Suarez.
Sometimes it can be truly horrible, sometimes you can't help but laugh. Either way, Suarez is a one of kind footballer in every way. 58 goals in 110 caps for his country, and consistently among best strikers in European football, he's arguably the best player his country has ever produced. When he's gone though, he's likely to remembered more for the other side of his character - the biggest shithouse in world football.
Last night, in Uruguay's win over Chile in the Copa América, Suarez's messing was taken to new levels again.
Getting his opponents in trouble with the referee was his method of choice last night, and while he had at least certain cause most of the time, there were two occasions when he was pushing the boundaries of credulity somewhat.
First, in a truly magic moment, Suarez, seemingly intent on winning a penalty rather than scoring, plays the ball on the the hand of an opposing player in the hopes of conning the referee or VAR. Unfortunately for Luis, he appears to have forgotten that that the opposing player, a goalkeeper, is actually allowed touch the ball with his hand.

In perhaps an even better moment though, here is Suarez furious telling the referee to send off Chile player Gonzalo Jara for throwing a reckless kick. The only problem is that Jara was actually tripping up a pitch invader, and not a Uruguayan player.

Utterly bizarre.
Uruguay won the game 1-0 thanks for a later Edinson Cavani goal meaning they top Group C and will now play Paraguay in the Quarter-final on Saturday. We look forward to more of Luis Suarez antics then.
