Luis Suarez was never going to let the opportunity to appeal his four month ban slip away, so an official appeal was always likely to find its way into FIFA's mailbox.

The whole statement reads a bit like the time on the Simpsons when a gravely wounded Snake explained to Dr Nick Riviera how he "like, fell on a bullet, and it, like, drove itself into (his) gut".

The quotes below are from the letter of defense that he sent to FIFA's disciplinary panel.
