Lucas Leiva was thrown in at the deep end against Leicester on Saturday.
With Liverpool shorn of centre-back options, the Brazilian had to play out of position in defence. Partnered by Joel Matip, he actually started the game well looking composed on the ball when stepping out of defence.
That ended in the 38th minute when he didn't just lay a goal on a plate for Jamie Vardy - he ordered takeout, collected it, put the cutlery on the table and pulled the tab on the can of coke for the English striker.
After miscontrolling the ball under pressure, Lucas committed the cardinal sin of playing the ball across his own box. Vardy tapped the ball to the net making it 2-1 in favour of Liverpool.
After the game, Lucas managed to see the funny side of his mistake - calling it his 'first assist in 10 years'.
