The Manchester United twitter account received the most damning criticism possible today, when they were mocked by the club's manager.
Louis Van Gaal was irked by their misinterpretation of an earlier statement of his - watch out for his magnificent pronunciation of 'interpreted'. The club's account had earlier reported that Daley Blind could be out for six months but it transpired that the person operating the account hadn't heard the manager correctly.

The Twitter account did not respond directly to this stinging rebuke. Twitter accounts have rarely engaged in public disputes with the club's manager.
