It's no secret that Louis van Gaal is not a fan of Rafael da Silva.
He started just seven games last season as the Dutchman preferred to play Antonio Valencia out of position at right back.
Speaking at a press conference for Man Utd's tour of America, van Gaal did nothing to dispel the idea that the Rafael is not long for Old Trafford.
Asked why the club had purchased Matteo Darmian when they already had a right back in 25-year-old da Silva, van Gaal pretty much said it was because the Brazilian can't defend.
van Gaal asked why buy Darmian over Rafael: "MD a player who could defend on the 1st phase because right fullback you have to defend." Ouch.

It was also a press conference where the Man Utd manager told media that Victor Valdes would soon be leaving the club as he 'does not suit their philosophy'.
