On an evening when Alisson delighted Liverpool fans with his delicate touches and a late save to guarantee their 1-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, Loris Karius was being welcomed to Besiktas.
A Turkish club made up of a rag-tag collection of players you'd almost forgot, Karius will join the likes of Ryan Babel, Pepe, Alvaro Negredo and Gary Medel in Istanbul.
Joining Besiktas on a two-year loan deal from Liverpool, the club have laid out an unusually grandiose welcome for Loris Karius.
Destroying any chance of representing Liverpool on a long-term basis after last season's Champions League final, Karius now has the chance to become a "legend."
Oddly, having released the video on the club's official Twitter account, the club quickly deleted the post containing the Karius announcement.
Most likely, the reason for this rethink may have been the fact that Liverpool had yet to announce the loan move. Shortly after the video was taken down, it was confirmed by Liverpool that the move had gone through.
#LFC confirm that goalkeeper Loris Karius has joined Besiktas. Two-year loan deal which will become permanent in 2020 if he plays enough games.

Sure enough, the Karius video went up once again.

Despite looking like a video that could realistically have been for any new signing, time will tell whether Karius can reach such lofty heights.
