The road to Joey Barton releasing his autobiography has been a rocky one, to say the least. However, with this new development it will almost certainly be worth the wait.
The controversial midfielder has already spent over two years, rejected manuscripts from two ghost writers and destroyed his relationship with behemoth book publishers Penguin trying to get the project going. After seemingly falling out with everyone who was involved in the book, Barton has decided to do the enterprising thing and pen it himself.
That's right, the world has a Joey Barton autobiography written by the man himself to look forward to.
The QPR player is in talks with other publishers but is also looking into self-publishing and releasing the book chapter by chapter. Considering that he has already completed nine chapters of his yet to be named memoirs, we may be reading this highly anticipated biography sooner than expected.
