Everton have been informed that Darron Gibson is in Noel King's plans for the final Group C ties for Ireland according to The Independent. The paper also reports that King will continue to monitor Stephen Ireland's form for Stoke City but a return for this World Cup campaign at least looks far less likely for the Corkman.
The new Football Manager is out soon and reports such as these always makes us wistfully gaze into the future here at Balls. Leave aside the myriad of issues that surround these two (Ireland in particular), a midfield triumvirate of Gibson, McCarthy and Ireland has a particularly nice ring to it.
