Longford People Want Longford Players In Longford Town FC

You should read Conor Neville's ode to Stephen Kenny and his hand in turning Longford Town around from yesterday.  Today we add to that this RTE piece from 1996 where "Midlands correspondent" Ciaran Mullooly speak to the locals about why they don't support the local team.

The irony of a man in a Manchester United scarf complaining about having no locals in the Longford team isn't lost on us here.
