It's been all change at Anfield over the past couple of seasons. Since Brendan Rodgers took over in 2012, there's been a feeling of constant transition with Brendan Rodgers looking towards the future in the hope that he can be the one to bring the Premier League title back to Merseyside.

The result, as things stand, is one of the youngest squads in the league and that average age now looks like it may get even younger. The departure of Steven Gerrard this summer means that there's only two Liverpool players who played under Rafa Benitez, and before the end of transfer window, it's likely Martin Skrtel will be the only player who can claim that stat.

Reports have emerged that Lucas will be allowed to leave the club for £8 million after a falling out with Brendan Rodgers ensured he was absent from the Liverpool squad for the trip to Stoke at the weekend. With Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Emre Can and Joe Allen ahead of him in the pecking order, it seems Rodgers would be more than happy to let the Brazilian leave eight months after he prevented him moving to Inter Milan.

It looked like Lucas may be heading for the exit door last season but a return to fitness saw him return to the starting XI and Liverpool's form improved significantly. The fact that Lucas' injury coincided with a subsequent drop off in form will ensure that there's quite a few fans that will be unhappy with the news that he looks certain to leave this time around.
