Some of the gloss has been taken off of Liverpool's Wednesday night Super Cup win. Jurgen Klopp has this morning confirmed that goalie Adrian was hurt during the celebrations. The news is troubling for Liverpool as it is their second goalie injury in five days. With Allisson out for 4-6 weeks with a calf injury, there could be opportunity for Corkman Caoimhin Kelleher.

Klopp said Adrian injured his ankle in the incident and could miss Liverpool's trip to Southampton tomorrow.

This appears to create some opportunity for Kelleher, who was in Liverpool's squad for the match Wednesday but has been recovering from an injury this month. In his press conference today, Klopp said Kelleher is not 100% and hinted that if Adrian is unable to play against Southampton, it will more likely be journeyman keeper Andy Lonergan who'll start.
Klopp on Andy Lonergan, and whether he is ready.
"Yes. If we have to make a decision, then we make a decision. Caiomhin is a boy we are all excited about. He's now in training, but not 100 per cent yet. He has to be in training today, then we will see."#LFC— Neil Jones (@neiljonesgoal) August 16, 2019
35y 302d - Should he debut for Liverpool tomorrow, Andy Lonergan will be the oldest Englishman to make his Premier League debut in the 21st century, aged 35 years and 302 days. Evergreen. pic.twitter.com/lZRTnaR2BT

Suspect that Andy Lonergan - 36 in October - might soon be the oldest footballer ever to have a hastily-cobbled-together SEO article written about him
