Jurgen Klopp has discovered a hell of a lot of problems in January: they have won just once - a replay win away to Plymouth - and that game has proved a preamble to the most shambolic performance of all: they trail Wolves 2-0 at half-time in their FA Cup fourth-round tie at Anfield.
It is a much-changed side for Liverpool but the pattern of the game is the same as the Southampton game in midweek: Liverpool have passed it about at the back with zero penetration, and get done with ease on the counter-attack. Liverpool have had 80% of the ball in the first-half but have not had a single shot on target, and contrived to concede two goals. The first came after just 52 seconds, and the second came through a counter-attack.
It came through Andres Weimann, and featured the usual flailing Alberto Moreno slide-tackle from the wrong side.
Liverpool have the cavalry on the bench, namely Sturridge and Coutinho, and we may see them at half-time.
