Team News
Jurgen Klopp has some major decisions to make as his Liverpool side try to balance all four competitions. Departing at the end of the season, his dilemma has not been helped after Liverpool's trip to Brentford. Already without the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Dominik Szoboslai, Trent Alexander Arnold and Allison they also lost Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota in the game. They will all miss this game as well as this year's first bid for silverware at the weekend. On top of this Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez have emerged as major doubts for the game although noting has been confirmed as of yet.
However, they did welcome back Conor Bradley at the weekend and he is expected to play. As well as this Republic of Ireland's Caoimhin Kelleher deputised superbly at the Gtech Stadium. His manager and captain Virgil Van Dijk gave a glowing assessment of the Irish shot stopper.
For Luton, top scorer Elijah Adebayo won't travel to Merseyside due to a hamstring injury, nor will Jacob Brown with a knee injury. They join Marvelous Nakamba and Mads Anderson on the absentee list as well as captain Tom Lockyer. Republic of Ireland international Chiedozie Ogbene is expected to play.
