Get used to it football fans, transfer news is coming thick and fast even sooner this year. As far as the top half of the Premier League goes, it's as good as over. The fact that Man United now only being seven points ahead of Liverpool is worthy of interest is a perfect example of how little is on the line.
That means transfer silly season has come early this year and although we might rightly bemoan that fact, we still can't help but pay attention. And good new Liverpool fans, it looks like your club may be centre of the transfer rumour universe in the coming months.
The Telegraph are today reporting that Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Memphis Depay are all being lined up by Liverpool to transform their lethargic attack. With Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert all set to be shipped out of Anfield this summer, it would not be overly surprising to see Liverpool bring in at least three attackers.
That seems even more likely this morning with Brendan Rodgers casting further doubt on Daniel Sturridge's long term injury status.
Rodgers on Sturridge: "We'll see if he's going to be back this season or pre-season."

Rodgers: "It's certainly an area we need to address come the summer. We have a top class striker here in Daniel but he also needs help."

Benteke, Ings and Depay aren't the first attackers to be linked to Anfield and they certainly won't be the last.
