With Burnley now officially relegated, the future of in demand striker Danny Ings can begin in earnest and it hasn't taken long for a decision to be made. Liverpool have long been linked with the 22 year old but reported interest from Man United and Real Sociedad put that move in doubt.

However, the Lancashire Telegraph, who have close links to the club, are reporting that Ings has made up his mind and it is Liverpool that he has chosen.

The England U21 striker is out of contract in July and it seems the deal will become official after a compensation fee is agreed with Burnley. It is thought the final fee, which is required when signing out of contract players under the age of 24, will be somewhere in the region of £4 million.

Having supposedly missed out on Memphis Depay, Liverpool fans may not be overly enthused about the signing of Ings. However when you consider that, at 22, he has scored 10 league goals in an injury hit season for a poor Burnley side, he could turn out to be a very useful addition next season.
