Liverpool are looking to ameliorate their striker problems by signing the Premier League's third top scoring English player this season - Burnley's Danny Ings.
The 22-year-old has seven goals in 2014/15 and has drawn plenty of attention as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
The Express' Paul Joyce (he was one of the journalists who broke the news that Steven Gerrard would be departing Anfield) reports that Liverpool hope of fend off interest by signing him in January and then loaning him back to Burnley.
Spurs, Chelsea and the David Moyes-managed Real Sociedad are the other teams rumoured to be interested.
